Update from the previous post. We moved and needed cabinets and a fireplace for an addition. Chris was awesome. His company came out and installed the most beautiful fireplace I ever dreamed of. I asked if he could use some wood that was from a tree on my grandpas farm. He incorporated it into the mantel and it is gorgeous. He also did a few other custom things for me and helped me replace old hinges in my existing cabinetry. I cant even list all the ways they were helpful. Stoneridge is one of those companies you hope you can find but think may not exist any more. And then even when your working with them, they continue to amaze you with their product and service and price.I needed a few cabinets for my remodel / addition. I called many cabinet companies. Most didnt even want to deal with me. Then I called Stone Ridge. Chris came right out to my house (I couldnt get anyone else to do that). He promptly have me a bid and was able to schedule my job in a very short amount of time. He delivered just as promised, the install was flawless. Im thrilled with the professionalism, awed at the quality and amazed at the price. I worked in the cabinet business years ago and I can tell Chris is going to go far. We moved into Bent Tree Fountains, which is a section of the larger Communities of Bent Tree properties, in 2021 . We thought this was going to be a good complex to move into, but things quickly started, quite literally, falling apart around us.The type of maintenance you get here is 100% The Landlord Special: everything is just patched up and painted over and never really actually fixed . The walls and ceilings were all cracked and got worse over time, there was obvious patchwork done to every single door in the unit, where the plates in the door frames had been moved and caulked over several times, because the foundation of our building was actively sinking as we live here . The ceiling bowed noticeably downward . There were bulging support beams on every door frame and wall, the floors were uneven and there was a noticeable downward slope going from the living room into one of the bedrooms . Every windowsill was crooked, and every window frame was as well . The doors barely closed properly, because everything in the unit structure was crooked . They asked $1,500/month plus average $150 for utilities for a two bed/two bath unit like this, and then had the audacity to raise our rent in 2022 to almost $1800/month before utilities, without properly addressing any of the structural issues.In 2022, the building had sunk so badly, that there were half inch gaps between the ceiling and walls in one of the bedrooms . The fix the complex decided to do ? Put wood over each crack and call it a day . If you get a unit here and think Oh, nice molding along the ceiling ! Dont be fooled . Theres probably a massive gap hidden underneath . They raised the building up by its foundation 2 inches over the summer, and then the problems only got worse, more cracks, more uneven floors, shifting doors and windows, leaking pipes, etc.I cannot stress enough how little this complex cares about fixing their units, because I believe they know they are falling apart, and some buildings are probably on their way to being condemned if they were to ever be properly inspected small christmas trees in pots . Its a shame too, because the layout and square footage of this unit is actually amazing, and a perfect fit for our family . Its just not worth the massive overprice and struggle to get anything fixed while living here, and we are not optimistic that management will change anything.
